Mountain, RuralThis typical Andalucian estate has its origin in an old post station and was later converted
into a tannery before it was completely renovated and turned into a country estate some
15 years ago. Just a few minutes away from Jimena de la Frontera – an idyllic old
Andalucian village –this beautiful estate is inbedded between fertile fields and old
mediterranian forrests.
Surrounded by lush vegetation the main building of some 600sqm of construction features
an awe-inspiring living-dining hall with no less than three fireplaces, beamed ceilings and
majestic ambiance.
All five bedrooms can be reached from the main hall. Two bedrooms boast their own
fireplaces and the master bedroom features an intriguing gallery with bedroom nook. All
rooms feature high, wooden beamed ceilings and wooden floors and are furnished and
decorated in the traditional andalucian style (e.g. one of the double bed headboards is
made of an old olive press).
The three bathrooms have typical arabic design and decor, and one bathrooms enjoys the
rare luxory of its own fireplace.
It is great fun to prepare tasty meals in the large kitchen which can serve as a dining room
as well as a cosy living room at the same time. The kitchen leads to a spacious terrace
covered with shadow spending mediterranian plants. From there, you have unobstructed
views over the beautifully manicured gardens and the olympic size pool. Large sun
terraces around the pool area lead to the bar and barbe-que cabana with grill and an
original wood stove for the grill enthousiast. Further down into the gardens one
encounteres yet another building catering for your and your guests wellbeing. Showers,
wc, fitness room and finish sauna... it is all there for you to enjoy.
The gardens have been carefully landscaped and planted with a large variety of local and
mediterranean plants. A hidden oasis of rare cactus plants add to the interest of the
gardens only to be surpassed by the gazeebo and the “mirador” next to the old roman
road passing along the northern border of the property. Obviously, there is also a well laid
out vegetable and herb garden tucked away behind an ancient stone wall providing for the
daily needs of the owners.
When finally leaving the estate one passes what could be a small office or reception
building close to the double garage and open air parking.
